Knowledge and Freedom
Be careful of the man who really knows how to be a fool. Alec Fronimites

Knowledge is power. Through science, we have learned to fly. We make medicine and build great cities. We use the power of nature. And we fill our cities with energy. Through art, we create beauty. We enjoy the stage and music. We delight in the color, light, and lines of great paintings. We join art and science. And we learn about the mind, society, and language.
Language is power. Through language, we learn knowledge. This knowledge is like a big bank. It holds the great findings of the arts and sciences. It holds the knowledge of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Language is the key to this bank. Through language, we can learn and teach powerful knowledge.
But power is dangerous. Knowledge alone cannot give freedom. People use knowledge for right and wrong, for good and evil. We can make a big building or burn it down. We can make art for hate. Power can kill. To do good, we need to know how to be free.
Freedom is the power to do good. “Liberal” means “free.” We need liberal arts and sciences. So we study history, religions, and morals. We study human nature. We learn from mistakes. We see that knowledge is not enough. We need wisdom. And wisdom helps us use knowledge for freedom and good. This is the hope of BeeOasis. Learn language. Learn arts and sciences. Learn wisdom. And learn about being free.
